VII. The particulars of any arrangement that exists for consultation with, or representation by, the members of the public in relation to the formulation of its policy or implementation thereof :

The executive council of the University functional representation of various public persons is provided as such transparence of in the matters of the University is ensured. As per clause 2 sub-clause 1 of the first statutes of the University, the membership of executive council includes besides for eminent persons of whom three shall be women members from the fields of industries and commerce or legal, engineering or medical professions of from such other fields of public life as the Government may consider useful to the University, to be nominated by the Government. These members of Academic Senate will be automatically.
Accordingly to clause 3 of the first statutes of the University functional representation for the representatives of the people and teachers is provided besides the members to be nominated by the Government include, six women of whom one each shall belong to the members of the scheduled castes and the scheduled tribes and two shall belong to the backward classes. Five persons to represent professionals belonging to the fields of medicine, engineering, business, law, banking etc., of whom atleast two shall be women.
The Planning and Monitoring board includes besides others two educationists nominated by the Government and two nominees from the Universities Grants Commission. Alumni association is formed with erstwhile students of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam. |
