Information under Sec-4 of The Right to Information Act (Act 22) of 2005

Introduction 1.1 : In order to promote transparency and accountability in the working of every public authority and to empower the citizens to acquire & secure access to information under the control of each public authority , the Government of India has brought out an Act “namely” the Right to Information Act, 2005”, (RTI Act) In accordance with the provisions of sections 4 (I) (b) of this Act, Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam (Women's University) has brought out this hand book for information and guidance of the general public

1.2 : The purpose of this book is to inform the general public about the women's university set up, functions and duties of its officers and employees, records and documents available in the university etc.

1.3 : The Universities in general are defined as non-profit. Autonomous bodies established to impart education to the public according to the industry requirement and helping industry in R&D work.

1.4 : Central public information officers of this university are

i) Vice-Chancellor, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam (Women's University), Tirupati.

ii) Registrar, Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam, Tirupati.

1.5 : The website ( www.padmavatiwomen-univ.org ) of the Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswavidyalayam (Women's University) provides the information about the courses offered and Research programmes of the University to the general public. In addition, information about the Degree awarded and extension activities of the university is made available through its reports.. These documents are available to the general public on the website.

1.6 : The University has campus networking, both internet and intranet through Ernet it facilitates accessing to information and use of digital Library.

(x)The monthly remuneration received by each of its officers and employees, including the system of compensation as provided in its regulations;

(xi)The budget allocated to each of its agency, indicating the particulars of all plans, proposed expenditures and reports on disbursements made

(xii)The Manner Of execution of Sudsidy programmes

(xiii) Particulars of recipients of concessions, permits or authoritarians granted by it.

xiv) Details in respect of the information, available to or held by it, reduced in an electronic form

xv) The particulars of facilities available to citizens for obtaining information, including the working hours of a library or reading room, if maintained for public use

xvi) The names, designations and other particulars of the Public Information Officers;
